'Music is the electrical soil in which the spirit lives, thinks and invents.' - Ludwig van Beethoven

Hi there! Thanks for checking out my blog today. I'm loving the rain! I love how it smells and I really love that it's getting rid of that ugly black snow out there. The one thing I don't love about it? All the landmines in our backyard that we missed over the winter. Time for a little poop-scoopin' this weekend!

Wow. Another day another celebrity dead from a drug overdose. Former teen idol Corey Haim has died. Reports are that he died from an overdose. It's weird because the movie Murphy's Romance was on this weekend and I had forgotten that he was in that movie. I really loved him and Corey Feldman in The Lost Boys. Just 38. Man, that sucks! Here's a great series of pictures of other Stars Who Left Too Soon. From John Lennon to John Belushi...we've lost a lot of great people when they were way too young!

If you could pick any Hollywood actor to portray the legendary Vince Lombardi, who would you pick? ESPN announced yesterday that Robert De Niro has been tapped to play the Hall of Fame coach in the film. "Lombardi" will chronicle the years in which he transformed the Green Bay Packers from the NFL's worst team to league champions. It is tentatively scheduled to be released in 2012 during the weekend between the conference championship games and the Super Bowl. I think De Niro is a great choice! How about you?

It's not just a rumor: Ireland and beer go together like corned beef and cabbage. The Irish are famous for their national beer culture, which has nothing to do with the green-tinted brews of St. Patrick's Day infamy. Are you a fan of the perfectly poured pint? Test your knowledge of the beers of Ireland with this Irish Beer Quiz.
