Birthday greetings today to Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. He is *gasp* 62 today! When Aerosmith was at the La Crosse Center a few years back I had the honor of being part of the catering crew and got to hang backstage during the show. I didn't talk to Steven or Joe, but I had a very animated conversation with Brad Whitford over whether an X-Box was better than a Playstation. Ahhh, memories!

As you may know, I am a huge fan of the Beatles. I've been to several Beatlefest conventions in Chicago and even to one in Vegas! The picture on the left is of me and my sister Kelly walking down Abbey Road with the boys at the Fest in Chicago. (Kelly is quick to point out that she's copping a feel of Paul's butt in this picture). Anyway, as a Beatle fan I have to say that THIS would be the best trip ever: The city of Liverpool is hosting a 2-month festival to honor what would have been John Lennon's 70th birthday. I just wish I wouldn't have to fly over a great big ocean to get there!

"Rock Band" enthusiasts will have a chance to jam to tracks from an all-time guitar great starting next week. RollingStone.com reports that the Jimi Hendrix album "Axis: Bold as Love" will become available as downloadable content for the "Rock Band" video game next Tuesday, March 30th.

Earth Hour 2010 is tomorrow night. For the third year, environmentalists are calling on people, governments and businesses to turn off the lights for an hour to call attention to the dangers of climate change. Among the landmarks which will have the lights cut off are the Golden Gate Bridge, the Empire State Building, the Las Vegas Strip and Toronto's CN Tower. Organizers of Earth Hour say it is a call to action for everyone in the world to "take responsibility, get involved and lead the way toward a sustainable future." The official Earth Hour video is pretty amazing. Earth Hour takes place at 8:30 pm in all time zones tomorrow night. I hope you will participate and help to spread the word!

And finally, as we get ready to start the weekend, I present the most amazing invention I've seen all day! It's called the Clicker and it's a universal television remote with a built in bottle opener! Can you say brilliant???
