Here is some good news within a tragic story. A Libyan plane carrying 104 people crashed today on approach to Tripoli's airport, leaving a field scattered with smoldering debris that included a large chunk of the tail painted with the airline's brightly colored logo. And believe it or not there was a survivor. A 10-year-old Dutch child was the only known survivor. Do you ever purchase any of those 'As Seen on TV' products? As Seen On TV products are always a fascination--do they really work? The answer: Some work better than others.I picked one up the other day at Wal-Mart (which begs the question...why does it say 'not available in stores' on the box?). Anyway, it was a Turbo-Snake. I used it to clean a clog from our sink drain. And it worked!! Here's a review of 14 popular 'As Seen on TV' items. Hopefully this list will help you decide whether or not you want to try the product at home.

=A historic and rare poster from KISS' earliest days on the club scene is currently for sale on eBay. The artifact from the band's past advertises three 1973 shows at Coventry Nightclub in Queens, New York. A longtime friend of the band hand-designed the poster for the rockers and later joined on as a roadie as their success grew. The poster is one of a small quantity originally printed up by KISS' original drummer, Peter Criss. Bidding for the rock 'n' roll artifact will continue through this Sunday, May 16th. The last I checked, the bid was up over $700.
