Happy 70th birthday Ringo! Today marks a rock milestone as Ringo Starr, the eldest of The Beatles, hits 70. Starr was born Richard Starkey in Liverpool, England on July 7th, 1940. Earlier this year in January, Starr released the LP, "Y Not." The album features "Walk With You," a track Starr co-performed with Sir Paul McCartney, the only other surviving member of The Beatles. As for Sir Paul, he won't turn 70 until June of 2012. Had they lived, Beatles members John Lennon would have hit 70 this October 9th and George Harrison would have observed the milestone on February 25th, 2013.

A fan attempting to catch a foul ball fell from the upper deck of the stadium during Tuesday night's Texas Rangers/Cleveland Indians game. As you can imagine the entire stadium and all the ball players were stunned. But poor Nelson Cruz. He's the one fouled the ball into the upper deck club level along the first-base line. He's also the one the camera was on when the guy fell. His reaction to the fall is shown here:

Rangers executive vice president of communications John Blake said that spectator was stabilized, 'able to move all his extremities and was responsive to paramedics.' Lucky guy.
