Blech! Monday again! I hope the memories of a great weekend get you through today. There's just not enough days in the weekend...wouldn't you agree? Thanks to everyone who participated in both the Thunder Ride and The Coulee Region Race on Saturday. We raised a lot of money for two very important causes and I am, as always, blown away by the generosity of my Coulee Region neighbors. You rock!=

Hey, check this out! A Wisconsin man has a whopper of a fish story to tell about the one that didn't get away. The 41-and-a-half-pound brown trout caught July 16th by Roger Hellen of Franksville has been certified as the state record for the species by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. The trout was caught in Lake Michigan off Racine. The 39-year-old says it took half an hour to reel it in. He says when he got it in the boat he was more exhilarated than exhausted. It's already earned Hellen the ten-thousand-dollar grand prize in the Salmon-A-Rama fishing contest. Hellen's record-setting fish surpasses the 36-pound, eight-point-nine-ounce, brown trout caught in Lake Michigan in 2004.
