'This must be Thursday. I never could get the hang of Thursdays.' Douglas Adams

Happy Thirsty Thursday friends! Thanks for checking in today. Don't forget to tune in to my show every day from 2 until 6 pm on 100.1 Classic Rock. It's the greatest station in the nation in my humble opinion.

I've got a spinning class tonight at Premier Fitness. It's sometimes hard to get up and get to the gym...but once I'm there I always have a great time and am glad I went. Did I tell you I've lost over 40 pounds since joining Premier? They have a great deal now too...join before the end of February and get the first month free! Check out their website and join me on my quest for a New Rear in the New Year!

Former football stand out and wrestler Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has a new movie out. It's called 'The Tooth Fairy' and it's about a bad deed on the part of a tough minor-league hockey player which results in an unusual sentence: He must serve one week as a real-life tooth fairy. The Rock isn't the only former footballer who's gone from the Gridiron to the Big Screen. Gear up for the big game with The Rock and 13 other football stars who turned to acting. Uggghh that reminds me of how AWFUL Brett Favre was in 'There's Something About Mary'.

The principal of a Tampa Elementary School has been put on administrative leave after a letter he wrote as a joke commenting on their children's math skills apparently found its way to parents. Principal Ron Sterr apparently distributed the letter to teachers last week as a joke - but one teacher who thought it was real sent it home to parents of her second grade class. The principal was put on administrative leave following a flood of phone calls from outraged parents, and is pending further disciplinary action. Other parents think the district is blowing the letter out of proportion. What do you think? Find out what was in the letter here. My opinion? Lighten up people!!

Alice Cooper admits he's a survivor. He notes he has 28 years of sobriety to his credit, which he calls, quote, "just me saving my life." The singer says the drinking and drug use associated with rock and roll is actually very destructive, and it led to the premature deaths of many great performers. Cooper notes that after many years of alcohol abuse he finally sobered up in the early 1980s. Today he's celebrating his 62nd birthday -- 35 years beyond that potentially lethal 27-year mark.
