'Youth is like a long weekend on Friday night. Middle age is like a long weekend on Monday afternoon.' Richard Nelson Bolles

Welcome to Friday my fellow rock-n-rollers! I'm stoked about tomorrow night's party at Features in West Salem. It's our Race To Great Taste Giveaway Party with Miller Lite! I've had a lot of people ask me about the bucket seat office racing chair from Flynn's that we're giving away. Here's a picture of a similar chair. The company who makes them describes them this way: "Inspired by Sport Bucket Seats found in today's hottest race cars, these exciting new chairs were made for the Speed Demon in all of us!" Oh and don't forget about our other great prizes too! An HDTV from Best Buy and a bunch of cool stuff from Miller. It's going to be a blast and I hope you'll be there!

Bon Jovi fans who won't make it to the band's Dallas show on Sunday can catch part of the concert online. The New Jersey rockers will stream a portion of their concert at American Airlines Center on Sunday, April 11th on their website. The show -- which is part of the band's "The Circle Tour" -- is sold-out, but online visitors will get the night's first four songs online. Also included in the stream will be pre-recorded footage of Kid Rock in a previous performance with the New Jersey rockers in Detroit. Sunday's show will be the second of two nights in Dallas for Bon Jovi. From there, the band is heading to Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, April 13th where they will rock the BOK Center.

So, now that you've had a chance to see it, what's your reaction to Tiger's new Nike commercial? If you didn't like it you're not alone. It's apparently not making much of an impression on the public. According to an "Access Hollywood" poll, 72-percent say the commercial, which uses the voice of Woods' late father, is, quote, "inappropriately exploiting his father's memory to benefit both Nike and himself." Just 28-percent feel the ad is "appropriate and effective." Nike unveiled the spot Wednesday, in conjunction with Woods' return to the PGA circuit at The Masters golf tournament. The ad is Tiger's first commercial for Nike since he became involved in a sex scandal last fall.

I can't help it, I always cringe when I'm on a national news site and I see a story from Wisconsin. From Jeffrey Dahmer to Bad Santa, when it says Wisconsin in the headline, it usually isn't good. And the trend continues with this headline from Mauston: "DA's Sex Ed Warning Befuddles Wis. Teachers, Kids". Here's the edited version of the story...Juneau County District Attorney Scott Southworth last month sent a letter to area school districts warning that health teachers who tell students how to put on a condom or take birth-control pills could face criminal charges. WTF? Are we back in the dark ages or what?
