The American Academy of Dermatology is declaring today "Melanoma Monday" as it warns many teens and young adults are still damaging their skin to improve their appearance. Melanoma is one of the most common and most serious types of skin cancer that people get. While not common in kids, it is thought that people can increase their risk of later developing melanoma if they get too much sun exposure during childhood, especially if they have one or more blistering sunburns.
