Brewer game for us on Sunday! Woo-hoo!! AND it's dollar hot dog day at Miller Park too! Ballpark cuisine has certainly evolved since the days of a hot dog and a soda. Stadiums have created variations of virtually every type of food imaginable, from sushi to walking tacos. With increased offerings, however, there is the increase in room for error. An article published by ESPN last summer outlined infractions that venues across all of sports have encountered. Some may be as minor as a lack of hand-washing stations, while others are noticeably more alarming. Here are a few select stadiums whose violations stood out above the rest. For instance in one stadium a safety inspector witnessed an employee attempting to clean residue off of a spatula using a garbage can and then try to reuse the tool before cleaning. Eww! Like their human counterparts dogs serve valiantly in the United States armed forces in war zones around the world. These military dogs are used to find explosives, insurgents and drugs, and to help search for missing people. When their careers end after serving overseas canine veterans retire, usually at the age of 8 or 9. They can be adopted through the non-profit Military Working Dog Adoptions. Some 300 of these dogs are available each year. Interested in adopting a military dog? Awesome! Check out this website established for the purpose of making the Retiring Military Working Dog adoption process easier for those interested in giving a forever home to a deserving Veteran!

This is one of the most heart wrenching pictures I've seen of the disaster in Joplin. Hope is starting to turn to desperation as people continue to search for their missing loved ones. It's in our nature to want to help our friends and neighbors recover. You can help monetarily by texting "REDCROSS" to 90999 to make a $10 donation. Here are more ways you can help.
